How it Works
The Cavie Cup is played every year, with the exception of 2020. Players are divided into two teams of 8-12 players. It consists of three to five match-play sessions played over two to three days.
Team Selection
Each year the tournament committee selects to players to act as captians for the year. The captains will select their teams in a snake style draft. Once teams are set, the trash talk begins.
Cavie Cup Format
Many formats are used in the Cavie Cup including scrambles, four-ball, and foursomes. All matches are played with match-play scoring and are handicapped. The final round is reserved for singles matches.
Cavie Cup Scoring
Each match is worth one point, with matches ending in a draw worth ½ point to each side. The first team to reach more than half the possible points wins the Cavie Cup. If the matches end in a draw, the Cavie Cup will be decided by a method predetermined by the tournament committee. The winning captain and team keep the Cavie Cup for a year to travel and party with.
